As intelligent manufacturing continues to accelerate in the new energy vehicle industry, ROKAE Robotics has deployed more than 40 CR-series collaborative robots at SERES Power’s Changshou plant, supporting the upgrade of its intelligent final assembly line and enabling 100% automation in key production processes.
Large-Scale Deployment on the Final Assembly Line
The Changshou plant is a core production base for SERES power systems, where range-extender engines used in the AITO vehicle lineup are manufactured. At the facility, ROKAE collaborative robots have been implemented across multiple processes, including engine block and cylinder head assembly, bolt tightening, visual inspection, material handling, and dry-ice cleaning. The deployment enables stable and flexible production from individual components to complete high-end engines.
In assembly applications, full-joint force control technology of ROKAE collaborative robots helps to achieve precision force-controlled assembly and high-accuracy tightening for multiple engine models. The system meets different torque requirements while maintaining assembly accuracy, achieving a 99% pass rate. The robots also support safe human-robot collaboration without safety fences, enabling flexible layout and deployment in compact spaces.
Combined with a high-precision vision system, the robots support AI-based inspection throughout the production process. Detection accuracy reaches 99%, improving production quality by reducing assembly errors such as missing or incorrect parts by 40%.
Continued Cooperation in Automotive Manufacturing
The deployment at the Changshou plant represents a further step in the long-term cooperation between ROKAE Robotics and SERES. ROKAE has previously supplied robots and automation solutions for multiple production areas, including welding and final assembly, and continues to support high-efficiency production of key vehicle models.
ROKAE has also showcased collaborative solutions together with SERES at major industry events, including the 2025 World Intelligent Industry Expo, where an automated solution for vehicle paint defect inspection and polishing was demonstrated.
