In this new years’ eve, more than 50 ROKAE robots appeared at the Shandong Robot Spring Festival Gala, a live event where robots became the main performers. Blending robotics with music and traditional art, the performance offered a glimpse of how embodied intelligent robots are beginning to move, interact, and create alongside humans.
For many in the audience, it was not just a technology demonstration—but a moment where machines performed with rhythm, coordination, and surprising expressiveness.
From Drum Play to Calligraphy
The evening opened with dozens of wheeled dual-arm humanoid robot Helios moving in precise formation, their synchronized motion setting the tone for the performance. Humanoid robotic systems equipped with dual arms performed live drumming, striking each beat in time with the music using advanced force control.

Collaborative robots joined the performance with fluid arm movements, rotating, lifting, and sweeping in coordination with the rhythm. In another segment, robots used traditional brushes to write Chinese calligraphy, carefully controlling pressure and motion to recreate the balance and flow of human handwriting.
These moments highlighted a shift in robotics—from machines designed only for repetition to systems capable of controlled, expressive, and contact-rich interaction.

Technology Behind the Scene
Behind the stage performance is ROKAE’s proprietary force control technology and humanoid arm design. With high-precision force sensing in every joint and fast response to external forces, the robots can adjust their motion in real time.
This technology supports key capabilities such as:
· Smooth dragging and intuitive teaching

· Impedance-based interaction

· Constant-force surface tracking

· Sensitive and reliable collision detection

The same technologies demonstrated on stage are already being applied in real-world environments, supporting automation in industries such as automotive and electronics manufacturing, where robots must handle delicate components and complex assembly processes. ROKAE’s force-controlled robotic arms and components are now receiving high attention from home and abroad, with thousands of units ordered as a core component by leading humanoid robot manufacturers.
Building the Future of Embodied Intelligence
In response to the rapid evolution of AI and embodied intelligence, ROKAE will continue developing technologies that make robots more capable, adaptable, and accessible, accelerating the transition from industrial automation to intelligent robotic systems.
While the performance lasted only a few minutes, it reflected a much longer journey—bringing robotics closer to everyday work and human environments.
At this special moment, ROKAE celebrates the fusion of tradition and innovation, wishing partners and customers around the world a prosperous and successful year ahead.
