ROKAE Robotics made a strong debut at Geely Auto’s first Forward-Looking and Lean Manufacturing Technology Exhibition, presenting its wheeled dual-arm embodied-intelligence robot and a series of flexible collaborative robot solutions for automotive production. Participants gained new insights of technology, application and industrial upgrade.

ROKAE flexible cobots are equipped with high-precision torque sensors on every joint, handling challenging assembly tasks with force perception and force control.
With advanced OptiMotion & TrueMotion control technologies and vibration-suppression algorithms, the robots deliver industrial-grade performance to ensure excellent speed and accuracy.
ROKAE’s in-house developed joint modules give the robots exceptional agility, making redeployment between different lines simple and fast. Meanwhile, the SIL3-rated independent safety controller, double safety system, and 21 TüV-certified safety functions enable reliable human-robot collaboration in the workshop.
Also, thanks to their high payload capacity (up to 45 kg) and rigid mechanical design, ROKAE cobots can take on a wider set of tasks traditionally dominated by large industrial robots.

Today, ROKAE flexible cobots support a broad range of applications: assembly, gluing, screw-driving, machine tending, sanding, welding, charging, inspection, and palletizing—covering processes across the entire automotive value chain.
At OEMs, its solutions are deployed in welding, assembling, stamping, and other major production lines at leading automakers. For component suppliers, ROKAE cobots are now widely used across production lines for transmission systems, interior and exterior trims, thermal systems, EV powertrains, and automotive electronics—delivering large-scale, high-reliability automation.
In chassis bolt-tightening operations, the ROKAE CR20 robot can be deployed quickly inside narrow workstations. Powered by advanced motion control, it positions rapidly and accurately at each tightening point and executes multi-angle operations. Joint load data is monitored in real time to help engineers fine-tune torque strategies, ensuring stable takt time and long-term consistency.

Door Welding:
Traditional large industrial robots often struggle to reach all weld points. Mounted on the end of an industrial robot, the ROKAE CR7—with ±0.02 mm repeatability and joint force control—achieves multi-angle welding in tight areas. The solution is compatible with multiple vehicle models and significantly improves weld coverage and consistency.

Seat Inspection:
The CR12 robot features compact design and combines force-controlled joints with intelligent vision to conduct precise, multi-angle, full-coverage inspection, reducing both missed detections and false alarms.

Roof Gluing:
ROKAE cobots excel in continuous gluing along complex curves. In roof gluing processes, the CR12 robot ensures smooth, consistent glue application while its built-in safety features and collision detection enable safe human-robot collaboration. Combined with vision inspection, it improves accuracy and adapts well to multi-model, small-batch, mixed-production production.

FPC assembly for vehicle displays requires extreme precision to avoid misalignment or damage. With full-joint force control and force-search planning, the CR7 can sense micro-contact forces and adjust its path in real time, mimicking the delicate “finger-tip insertion” of a skilled technician. It supports a wide range of cable sizes and ensures stable assembly quality.

ROKAE has delivered dozens of flexible cobots to the Foton Cummins engine plant, where they perform engine oil-seal dimension checking, valve-spring assembly, cylinder head deburring, valve-stem feeding, exhaust-valve assembly, bolt tightening, inspection, and labeling. These deployments ensure continuous operation of the lights-out factory.

Charging ports on EVs vary in shape and angle, often causing alignment challenges and equipment wear. ROKAE cobots accurately identify charging-port positions, automatically plug and unplug the charging gun, and monitor force data throughout the process to prevent damage. This enables safer, fully automated, unmanned charging operations.

From flexible assembly to precision force-control applications, ROKAE’s collaborative robots are redefining how automotive manufacturers achieve high efficiency, consistent quality, and safer human-robot operations. With close communication with partners across the industry chain, ROKAE continues to boost intelligent and flexible production.
