Xiaomi factory of smart home appliances officially began operations in Wuhan’s Optics Valley, marking another major milestone in the company’s intelligent manufacturing expansion. As a key partner in Xiaomi’s smart manufacturing ecosystem, ROKAE Robotics played an essential role in the project’s construction, providing advanced robotic solutions that enabled large-scale automated production of Xiaomi home appliances.
At the launch ceremony, ROKAE was recognized with Xiaomi’s “Outstanding Equipment Supplier Award”, standing out among hundreds of suppliers and becoming one of only three companies to receive the honor.
Xiaomi’s Smart Home Appliance Factory is the company’s third large-scale production base, following its smartphone and EV super factories. The site is designed for ultra-efficient production — capable of delivering one air conditioner every 6.5 seconds — with mass production set to ramp up next year.
In the factory’s core injection molding workshop, ROKAE Robotics is the exclusive domestic robot supplier, delivering 37 high-performance industrial robots that work in seamless coordination with injection molding machines. These robots automate the entire process — from injection and post-processing to packaging — helping Xiaomi establish the industry’s first fully unmanned, lights-out injection molding line in China.
ROKAE’s industrial robots feature state-of-the-art motion control, combining high speed and precision with robust mechanical performance and advanced force control. Their high payload capacity and extended reach support flexible post-processing and heavy-duty handling, while the compact design minimizes interference and enables fast system integration. When connected to the Xiaomi Hyper IMP, the robots enable real-time monitoring of production fluctuations, dynamic process optimization, and full life cycle traceability — driving digital, data-driven, and intelligent transformation in manufacturing.
Competing alongside leading international brands, ROKAE demonstrated the strength and reliability of Chinese robotics technology, contributing significantly to Xiaomi’s high-end appliance production and delivery efficiency.
During the launch event, ROKAE also presented a live demonstration of its embodied intelligence robots, showcasing the potential of embodied AI in industrial applications. Looking ahead, ROKAE plans to deepen collaboration with Xiaomi by integrating robotics, embodied intelligence, and large-scale AI models with Xiaomi Hyper IMP — together building an end-to-end intelligent manufacturing system that unites perception, decision-making, and execution to power the next generation of smart factories.
